Have you ever wondered…what is punch needle?

Why choose punch needle as a crafting hobby? It has so many therapeutic benefits. Punch needle is repetitive and rhythmic, making it the perfect activity for winding down after a long day. Plus, there's something incredibly meditative about the gentle, rhythmic motion of punching yarn through fabric. 

I love punch needle for a few reasons. First of all, it's super easy to fix your mistakes (see my post)! Unlike some other crafts where one wrong move can set you back hours and waste precious supplies, punch needle allows you to easily backtrack and correct any mistakes along the way, and reuse the same material again and again. And let's not forget about the texture—oh, the texture! There's something so satisfying about running your fingers over the plush, squishy surface of a finished punch needle piece. And last but not least, punch needle can be a huge stress reliever. There's just something about getting lost in the rhythm of punching yarn that melts away the worries of the day. 

I had so much fun hosting a punch needle workshop this past weekend! In case you missed out on the workshop and are curious about what punch needle is and how it works, I wanted to share a bit about it here.

So what exactly IS punch needle? Think of it as painting with yarn! With a punch needle tool in hand, you'll be punching strands of yarn through a fabric canvas to create beautiful, textured designs. It's like doodling with yarn, and trust me, it's addictively fun! One of the best things about punch needle crafting is its versatility. You can use punch needle in a variety of crafts, from creating colorful wall hangings and rugs to embellishing clothing and accessories. The possibilities are endless.
